I can relate to that feeling! It's always a challenge to write in a genre we're not used to or don't like that much, right? As I said, I just got more into SF during the past few years, and I couldn't help but notice how much I would be at a loss of vocabulary when writing SF as I never read/watched much of that gnere in English! >.< (As a child/teen I only liked Stargate and the mentioned Spielberg movie. But that was pretty much everything from that genre and I watched it in German XD) So I'm still trying to get used/learn about vocabulary that's used in those genres so that one day I can challenge my own SF story (for which I already have an idea since about a year but... yeah, no time to write and no skills yet LOL XD).

Anyway, back to your story. ^^

Oh yes, I get what you mean about the kiss, of course their first encounter after one year of not seeing each other has much more impact like that, that's true! I guess I just kind of missed a little explanation or note of why they didn't see each other during that time? Because I felt like if Sho had the chance, he would definitely take the time from his busy schedule and visit his Nino to see how he changes and everything, as it also becomes an important part of the growth of their relationship. So maybe for me a simple sentense like that they are not allowed to meet due to the process of the upgrade or that Nino didn't WISH to see Sho or something would have been enough for me to make my wondering mind satisfied. Sorry, maybe I'm thinking too much about it (but it just shows how deeply I got involved in the story so see it as something positive please LOL XD).

LOL now I imagine grandpa Sho with his "young lover" by his side XD Not that I have a problem with that, I think it would be rather cute. I think it's nothing that you should have included in the story, it's really just my curiosity that comes to life when I dive into a story, I start to think about that world and about the characters and about their pasts and futures so I just really got curious how this might "end" for the couple one day. I mean it's set in the future, right? Maybe people live even longer there or have stuff that keeps them young or whatever? (Everything is possible in SF, that's the interesting aspect about that genre ^^) I like your solution about Nino having different options if that day comes. If it was me, I personally would choose the same option as you, I think, and let Nino "die" too. It's kind of sad but it's probably the most realistic option, so it fits very well. T^T (Aw I better should not think about it too much, it makes me want to cry...)

Thanks for taking your time to talk to me about all this ^^ <3
