I was quite nervous writing this story because sci-fi never has been my genre. I almost never read or watch anything sci-fi related because it wasn't my cup of tea as compared to horror or mystery. I'm so relieved to see that it turned out to be a relatively successful work. Heh ^^
Ehhh I actually thought about whether Sho would have visited Nino during the one year that they were apart as well. But I decided to not let them meet for the one year because that would make the first kiss they ever shared in Sho's apartment even more impactful.
Well you are right. Sho would age and Nino wouldn't (since he is still TECHNICALLY a robot), but since Nino only ever learned in his sentience how to love Sho (and Nino still looks devillishly good-looking in Sho's eyes) I doubt there would be too much of a problem. XD
I actually did ponder a bit over what this meant if Sho dies. I never thought about writing about it, of course, but it did occur as a food for thought as I brainstormed.
I like to think that if that day should come, Nino would have the same options as he did back in Aiba's workshop - reformat him completely, reassign him or just remove the part of him that was sentient. In my ideal mental scenario, Nino would request Aiba to remove the power supply from his body so that he would "die" and rest alongside Sho to be with him, since with a whole lifetime of feelings for Sho, he could not ever serve or love anyone apart from him.
