I did not actually have a particular language in mind while writing. I'm a native English speaker/writer and I know very very little of other languages. But I will say that both the language of the gods in this story and the common language of the current era in it would be a language similar to Chinese or Japanese, a language written with specific characters rather than one with an ABC alphabet like English.
