this is my favorite line in the whole drama.. It shows how awkward Seiji is, and yet sincere. I'm so happy that you use it!
I love the air between them when they talk over the phone - a mixture of comfortable and clumsy. I love that even though they were living apart, their lives were parallel, their conversations were their connection.
“You totally don’t deserve that girl, don’t screw this up!” then he left.
Seiji scowled after his dad left, “I know that already, no need to remind me.”

and the scene wherein Seiji was looking for Manami's mother. I can almost imagine them in my head.
and the fact that he called her by her first name... :) It made me remember that scene in the drama when Manami was about to ride the bus and leave, and Seiji called her Chiba Manami, which was pretty much awkward - calling someone by her full name. But that's just the way Seiji is, half part clumsy, half part serious. Which also makes calling her by her first name even more significant.
