Oh my goodness, where on earth do I start with this? Seriously! You hit so many points that I absolutely love that I cannot even begin! I think I might just make a list, in no particular order: Aiba's driving skills, the failed Sakumoto backstory, crying into the tiniest kiss on the train, TOOOOMAAAAA and the adorable squishy Toma/Jun, and just young!Jun in general you nailed that shit, obviously obviously all of Nino is amazing, Aiba and the sunshine references that were just SO NOT CLICHED and SO PERFECT, the way Aiba makes Nino feel better and Nino makes Aiba feel better, even the tiniest thing like Jun buying Subaru boots, why are all my points about Jun?, but seriously, SERIOUSLY, you're amazing.
I thought, when I started reading, that I was going to be sad that the Aimiya wasn't going to happen, or that it would happen at the expense of some poor girl, but I'm glad that the latter didn't, and it wasn't sad, even though the Aimiya didn't really happen. Though it kind of did, in that nebulous way that they will always be together, and they will always love each other, more than anything, even if they're Aiba and Nino rather than AibaandNino.
But everything, down to your phrasing ("falling in love was less falling than tripping into a ditch"), was absolutely spot on. You wove heartbreaking adolescence with the foils of growing up and the pain of unrequited love and the ache of being okay with that just so wonderfully together that I can't get over it. All your words -- but especially the ones you don't use -- just makes this a gorgeous fic and I am so thankful to you, anon!
IN CASE I WAS TOO RAMBLY OR INCOHERENT: I LOVE THIS FIC, I LOVE YOU ANON, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH ♥
